ANTONI GARCIA IGLESIAS

Born in Oviedo the 28 of March of 1935 

He spent his first 18 years in Gijón, where he began to be interested in the art and at the same time he studied Modelismo Naval.

Further on he came to Barcelona and he took advantage of visiting all the exhibitions and samples of art that he could, in this way he could form artistically. He read the impresionists and he impregnated himself of them essence. 

Later he settled in Moià (Barcelona). He studied Textile Theory to which he dedicated professionally many years of his life. 

He has always practiced the painting, specially in Fast Painting contests, what has given him the agility and ease of movement to solve any subject quickly.

Some times he practiced the abstraction, but where he really enjoys and where he feels more comfortable is in the paint from nature.

At the moment his work subscribes in the Neoimpresionism and he deals with the subjects with a peculiar system of own creation.
